K9 Academy International's owner and training director Nino Islamcevic is the most-qualified trainer available in the state.  The training methods used at the academy were developed by Nino himself throughout his over twenty-year career, through which Nino has trained dogs for handicapped assistance, pet obedience, tracking, police K-9, personal protection, Schutzhund (which brought him to the World Championships) and more.  We offer group classes for basic dog obedience, personalized and private dog training consultations, in-home consultations for dogs in the West Michigan and Grand Rapids areas, and boarding training.

Boarding for Dogs
Our dog boarding kennel is serving Grand Rapids MI area. Each dog boarding kennel has a private 25-square-foot area, which is connected to a covered, outdoor area with 55 square feet.  That's much more space than the average dog boarding facility.  There's music for a home-like environment, and 10 acres of land for nature walks.  The front dog kennel area is heated or air-conditioned according to the seasons, and the back dog kennel area is closed in during the winter and the floors are heated.  at our dog boarding kennel Playtimes are in our secure, fenced-in yards, or in our indoor play room if required by weather.   Nino Islamcevic and his family live on-site, and are available for emergencies 24/7.
